With the September release we have extended SCMC in three places. The ICS module now carries a gap through to a measure and a risk assessment, every module delivers two reports as Word documents, and modules can now be bought on invoice.
ICS module: measures and risk assessment
Documenting an internal control system is one half of the work, closing its gaps is the other. Until now the ICS module captured only the current state (IST) and the target state (SOLL) on each document row. From this release on, you keep working on the row:
- Measures. The "Measures" tab lists every row whose current state is below its target. There you record what will be implemented, together with status, deadline, responsible person and comment. The validation has a deadline and an owner of its own. Deadlines, reminders and "My Tasks" now cover ICS rows as well (tracking measures).
- Risks. In the "Risks" tab you assess the same rows by likelihood and impact, including the residual risk. This shows which gap to close first. Area 6, Risk management, remains your risk register as before.
- A clearer row. The target state can be expanded and collapsed per row, and every row carries a description of the current state and a link to its evidence.
All modules: two reports in Word
The results view of every assessment now offers two new buttons next to PDF and Excel.
"Download Word" delivers the whole assessment as a .docx file. The areas are headings in the order of the module, and below them, for each question or row, the current and the target value in the wording of your scale, the justification and the document link. Items that are not applicable or still open are named as such, and risk groups appear with their risk and residual risk.
"Measures as Word" delivers measures and validations as tables by area, with the recommendation for the question or your own text on what will be implemented, plus status, responsible person, deadline and both comments. Unanswered questions and the risk register are left out.
Both documents are editable and make a sound basis for your own report. If you used to assemble your audit report by hand from exports, you now start with a ready-made structure.
Billing: purchase on invoice and invoice overview
Modules can now be bought on invoice instead of by card. The modules are unlocked immediately, and you receive the Swiss QR invoice by email, payable within 14 days. You set the payment method and the billing address in the project details, and the purchase page takes them from there. Purchase on invoice applies to the annual subscription, so switching moves the project to annual billing. The current period keeps its dates.
The project also has a new "Invoices" area listing every document: number, date, due date, amount, status and a PDF to download. Overdue invoices are marked. An issued invoice is never altered, a correction is created as a separate document.
The billing address and the invoice list are visible to the owners and administrators of a project.
